The Bachelor to be announced

It's time to place your bets, Bachelor fans! ABC will finally reveal the identity of the much awaited love searcher for The Bachelor 14, according to host Chris Harrison, who wrote a posting on his Twitter account on Tuesday.

"Here it is... The new Bachelor will be announced Tuesday Oct 13th live on Dancing with the Stars [on] ABC!" Harrison announced, giving ABC viewers another reason to tune in besides watching Mark Dacascos, Joanna Krupa and Donny Osmond hit the dance floor.


This isn't the first time Harrison used Twitter to tease about the upcoming season of The Bachelor. Earlier this month, he mentioned that ABC was "very close" to choosing the new star while alluding to the possibility that the new love searcher may or may not be someone from the fifth season of The Bachelorette.

Now we all have our own favorite picks but based on the polls and your comments, it looks like Reid Rosenthal, Kiptyn Locke and Jake Pavelka, all Jillian Harris rejects from the fifth season of The Bachelor, have taken the top spot as possible candidates.

The Bachelor, which received an early renewal from the network in April, is likely to premiere its new season early next year, taking over the Monday 8pm ET/PT timeslot currently occupied by Dancing with the Stars season 9. As of this moment, there is now word yet what kind of twists are in store for the new season though there have already been reports that the franchise is aiming for an all-star edition that would feature people from the beginning of the franchise.

I think the next bachelor is Jake. Kip is too chatty on twitter to be the next bachelor. Jake seems to have been hidden under a rug somewhere. So, my bet is on Jake.

We can have a snarkalicious good time watching it.

Here's a picture of the supposed next bachelor from an ABC promo, but it doesn't look like Jake. Posters over at Fort have cleverly deduced that the pic looks like Mark from Jillian's season. Not sure though if the fleisster is just trying to trick everyone.

Does anyone else think that the woman sitting behind Jake resembles Jillian? Clearly, she isn't Jillian, but I thought it was interesting.

I'm willing to sefanit...even if I don't like who the new Bachelor is I always watch. I think Jake will be a hoot but he has to tone down the cheese factor and not fall in love with the first girl he kisses...he was talking marriage with Jillian after one kiss...

He is handsome and has a great body so I'm sure we will be seeing lots of it!
